Overview

Today in Bari the workshop dedicated to the SMEs of the PHASE Project, financed by the Cooperation Programme between Italy, Albania and Montenegro, of which the Policlinico di Bari is the lead partner.

“The PHASE project, within the framework of the Interreg IPA Italy-Albania-Montenegro Cross-border Programme, is one of the strategic projects that have a high expectation of impact on the territory in terms of results and objectives to be achieved”. This is how Antonio Agrosì, Project Officer PHASE Project and Financial Manager of the JS Italy-Albania-Montenegro opened this afternoon the initiative organised by Project PHASE dedicated to SMEs in the e-health and telemedicine sector.

“The project - Agrosì continued - falls under Priority Axis 1 of the Programme dedicated to enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs and has a dual purpose: to support the public service and to raise the skills and knowledge of companies involved in the implementation of telemedicine systems”.

The event, entitled 'Data science for e-health and related business opportunities', was held in Room 3 of Building E of Tecnopolis (Valenzano, BA) and was aimed at presenting the topic of data science for e-health and presenting business opportunities in the field of telemedicine.

Speakers at the event included: Ottavio Di Cillo, Director Area E-health AReSS Digital Health and Telemedicine and PHASE Project Manager; Carlo D'Agostino, Director UOC Cardiologia ospedaliera Policlinico di Bari and PHASE Project Scientific Responsible; Angela Abrescia, CEO Naps Lab; Giuseppe Cavallo, CTO Naps Lab; Vito Albino, ARTI Puglia President; Annamaria Annichiarico, Tecnopolis President; Sergio Fontana, Confindustria Puglia President; Luigi Triggiani, Unioncamere Puglia General Director.

In addition to the institutional speeches, the SMEs involved had the opportunity to present their experience through an exchange of best practices.
