On April 26, 2022 in the Telemedicine Center of Albania at the University Hospital Center "Mother Teresa" the staff of the project "Promoting Health in CBC Area by Stimulating local Economies" for Albania, held a meeting with the staff of the Telemedicine Center University Hospital Center "Mother Tereza”. The meeting was organized under the auspices and with the support of the director of the center Mr. Oltion Dhono.

During the meeting, the staff of the PHASE project in Albania, made a brief presentation of the project and its objectives. Meanwhile, the head of the telemedicine sector, Arian Boçi, made a presentation on the history of the Albanian Telemedicine Center since its inception in 2011 through a USAID program. He announced that since 2017, this Center has passed under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. They also talked about finding ways of cooperation in the future, and supporting the project for further development of Telemedicine in Albania.

Currently, the Albanian Telemedicine Center has enabled to connect 5 university hospitals, 11 regional and 3 municipal hospitals.
