Open Day: IT-supported innovations in the field of health
Overview

Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the Montenegrin Association for Medical Informatics (MAMI), on the 12th of May, organized the event “Open Day: IT-supported innovations in the field of health”.

The aim of the event was to connect the health and ICT sectors through the process of digital transformation since the potentials and benefits that may arise from the interaction of these two sectors would have a multiplier effect.

Stefan Jovanović, Senior Adviser in the Sector for projects within the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and project coordinator of the PHASE project, presented the activities, results, and opportunities brought by this project, which is being implemented in Italy, Albania and Montenegro.

The conference segment was dedicated to examples of good practice and the development of IT-supported solutions in healthcare. Prof. Dr. Lăcrămioara Stoicu-Tivadar, from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara in Romania, spoke about digital education in the field of medicine and clinical practice, while the presentation on e-health in Montenegro was given by prof. Dr. Ivana Ognjanović. Potentials for the innovation community were the topic of the presentation of prof. Dr. Rama Šendelja, University of Donja Gorica, while AI solutions in the field of neurology were presented by Milovan Roganović from the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
